Security Week: Multi-Factor Authentication

Welcome to the first day of 24 Days of Cloud Ready - providing actionable guidance for landing on to Cloud, in under one minute.

If you are a human using a computer - you will have already used multi-factor authentication.

MFA is the quickest way to mitigate risks from compromised credentials, which often result in reputational or financial impact.

MFA is very easy to get started with - the easiest way is to enable the Security Defaults in your Azure AD Admin Center.

This applies several other quick wins like blocking legacy authentication protocols - so don't do this on AD Tenants which also use IMAP, SMTP, or POP3 without checking dependent applications.

Please don't delay - enabling Security Defaults improves your posture, and MFA is the best to protect yourself from malicious actors.
